The Studio
There is an amazing alchemy that occurs in the bronzing process, taking something from clay, plasticene or wax and turning it into something that will last for over 1000 years. My studio at North Head Sydney is always busy be it fine art, engineering, furniture or architectural metal finishing there is always something interesting to see. It is very easy to look at a finished bronze and overlook the many, many layers of process it takes to make that alchemy looks seamless so below is a simplified look at how it all happens
A special thanks to Tanya Bartlett with whom I created the Eternal Flame memorial for Singleton NSW Anzac Tribute.

Commemorating 100 years since the Gallipoli landing and honouring all the ANZAC'S that have served this eternal flame was unveiled today in Singleton, New South Wales. I had the honour of enlarging this piece from a marquette by the wonderful and supremely talented Tanya Bartlett. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."
